Privacy Policy

Effective July 14, 2026

Pickaxe Player is a local-first podcast player. It has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking. The developer does not collect, receive, or sell any information about you.

What stays on your device

The app stores the following on your device only:

• Podcast subscriptions, including the RSS feed URLs you add.
• Private RSS feed URLs, which may contain access tokens issued to you by a podcast provider.
• Listening progress and playback state.
• Listening Block definitions (your playlist rules).
• Downloaded episodes and cached artwork.
• Diagnostic logs about feed and playback problems.

None of this is transmitted to the developer. Deleting the app deletes it. Your device's standard iOS backups may include it, under Apple's backup policies.

Network requests the app makes

To play podcasts, the app contacts the servers behind the feed and media URLs you provide — directly, with no intermediary operated by the developer. Those third-party servers receive your IP address and standard HTTP request metadata, and are governed by their own privacy policies. The developer does not operate or control them.

If a private RSS URL contains an access token, the app sends it only to that feed's own server, as required to fetch the feed.

What the app doesn't do

• No account or sign-in.
• No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.
• No sharing or selling of data — the developer receives no data to share.

Changes

Changes to this policy will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date. If the app ever starts collecting anything, this policy will say exactly what and why before that version ships.
